. . . pop-oriented rhythms with
sixteenth-note grooves and all three players using foot
stomps for a bass drum sound and style. -
Brian Zator Printed by permission of the Percussive Arts Society, inc.
This
rhythmically exciting work was created using just four sound sources
- wood, metal, skin, and foot stomps - and can be played with as few
as three or as many as twenty or more percussionists.
Performers may choose any instrument within the categories
designated. Suggestions include Wood Blocks, Temple Blocks,
Claves (woods), Cowbells, Agogo Bells (metals), Bongos, Frame Drums,
Hand Claps (skin). Notes below the staff for each part are
Foot Stomps. Although eachpart may be played with as few or
as many players as desired, an attempt should be madeto keep
each instrument group equally represented. This work was
recorded by the Minnesota Percussion Trio and and is used in their
program for community and school percussion performances.
