applying musical and technical concepts with percussion
students. Using this medium, directors can address
instrument specific techniques, discuss stylistic elements, and
rehearse ensemble balance and musical awareness, all while
challenging percussion students in an ensemble environment
where they function in primary, not just supportive, musical
roles. The teaching sheets below provide specific
information about each piece including duration, difficulty,
program notes, formal structure, and musical and technical
